Over 90 delegates attended the 2017 edition of the Ageing Better Conference, aimed particularly at the 14 Ageing Better programmes in operation across England.
Staff, volunteers, strategic partners, delivery partners, participants and evaluators took part in various thought provoking sessions during the two-day conference including an ice-breaker polaroid photo activity, parallel sessions, provocative statement debates, live voting and a timeline review of programme achievement to date and aspirations for the future.
Proceedings were professionally facilitated by host, Jackie Le Fevre, and included presentations from a large number of Ageing Better programme representatives. An expert panel took to stage on Day 2 before proceedings were concluded by Big Lottery Fund Chief Executive, Dawn Austwick.
Organised for the Big Lottery Fund by Opening Doors & Venues in partnership with Hall Aitken, the main aim of the residential conference was to encourage networking between programmes element enhanced by the provision generous breaks, a ‘Blue Badge’ walking tour of Leeds provided by Visit Leeds and a networking dinner on Day 1.
